Our Cry Room
The worship service is an opportunity for parents to bring their child to Jesus; thereby, nurturing their spiritual growth. Church of the Holy Child warmly welcomes infants in the sanctuary during the worship service. We are devoted to responding to their God-given unique needs. For their comfort and convenience, we also have a Cry Room especially for parents who can privately console and feed their child while still being a part of the service.
The Cry Room arose out of a vision by our Rector, Father Comforted. He wanted parents to have the conveniences similar to being at home, without missing a part of the service. At his request, Carlyn White, a parishioner and new mother, designed and executed his vision.
The Cry Room opened and was blessed on March 26, 2006. It is a peaceful, dimly lit environment that overlooks the sanctuary thru a large one-way window. It has the comforts of home with a cozy loveseat, glider and ottoman so a mom may nurse her child in private. The relaxing atmosphere is conducive to helping parents meet the needs of their child.
This is just one example of the desire we have at Church of the Holy Child to bring our children to Jesus. Check out our Youth Page!
